i can myself do it

there is so much i want to do with my apartment, that i have put off for about two or three hundred reasons. i have finally started getting into it and have had a great time. that blue thing used to be brown with ugly brass pull-out handles. i dont know if you can make the picture big and see the pretty detail, but i guess you could try and maybe get lucky? then, the silhouette you might recognize from pippy’s cupcakes. I have been semi-obsessed with making silhouettes lately after seeing some in real simple magazine a few months back. the mid-century danish chair is something that i picked up at a flea market in the west village. not too shabby for 20 bucks. Amy helped me re-upholster it. the fabric is something i just had lyin’ around, i haven’t decided for sure on it, but i like it for now. i also ruined a coat rack trying to do-it-myself, but had thankfully bought a new one on ebay that looks the exact same as a childhood one that i used to pretend was an accordion. i painted it red, hooray!

i’ve got an itch and only diy projects can scratch it!
